Trained in fine art photography, visual aesthetics, and photojournalistic photography. Worked as a professional photographic assistant, media photographer, and photo editor for the Sacramento Hornet Newspaper while studying for a degree in photography. Achieved a Bachelor of Arts in Photography from the Dept. of Design at California State University of Sacramento. Exhibited work in several galleries, interned at Surfing Magazine, and freelanced for Paddler Magazine and 944 Magazine. Moved on to extreme digital stills working as a contract photographer for the US Army. Learned high speed photography, digital video capture & processing, photographing while hanging out of helicopters and working in severe weather conditions. Fine tuned several photographic techniques, especially portrait and lanscape photography, while living on the Island of Kauai for a year. Then I started focusing on Commercial photography for wineries, vineyards, and creating fine art photography books. Now over the last 4 years putting my Photojournalistic style photography to good use capturing images while underwater and above water for our Dive Shop Ocean Sports SCUBA and Freediving in Old Town Lompoc and creating gorgeously natural outdoor Portraits all around Santa Barbara County, California.
